Conscious Play Fighting (Brighton, 1 June)

Date: Saturday 1 June, 2024

Liberate your inner predator, prey or wild inner child.

This workshop will offer you an opportunity for an in-depth exploration of these parts. The first part is a non-sexual, pants-on workshop to explore body self-connection and non-verbal communication through play. All physical abilities are welcomed. We welcome all genders, sexualities and orientations and are queer- and trans-friendly.

(The venue is up a flight of stairs and therefore not accessible to wheelchair users, sadly)

You can choose to come for the workshop only, or stay on for Temple-night to dive into all the juicy energies you’ve awakened in a space where mindful sexual expression is welcome and celebrated.

5:00-7:30 pm

Play fighting is all about connection to your own body and juicy energies flowing through it first. Only from that space you can wrestle and play in a wholesome, connected, delicious way with other beings. What you discover in this kind of deeply embodied connection with others is likely to surprise you! Perhaps your body, and spirit, crave gentleness and flowing, perhaps there’s a lot of passion, fire and wildness yearning to be expressed. You might awaken your creativity or meet your Inner Child.

You won’t know until you dive into it full in!

In the workshop, we will talk through safety issues, demonstrate techniques and go through a series of exercises to warm up and connect with others. Importantly, we will explore boundaries and consent and communicating them both in an explicit and in a nonverbal way. Everyone who wants to, will have an opportunity to challenge another (or more beings at once!) for a play fight in the ring.

Temples of Eros  is a conscious community dedicated to connection, intimacy and authenticity.

After the break, you will be able to change into something sexy/comfortable and join us for the second part.

What to expect at a temple night? Following the workshop, we will open the space to free flow of interaction, which can include continuing with play-fighting or any other consensual interaction. There will be assistants willing to hold space for you on-hand, drinks and snacks throughout the night. The temple will begin with connection games focusing on both verbal and non-verbal consent, and intimacy building.

What you may see in the space, depending on the flavour of the night (which we can never fully predict!):

Sensual and sexual play, in couples and groups. This doesn’t mean you’re expected to participate in this way. Whatever you have to bring on the night, emotionally, physically, spiritually is important, welcome and a valued contribution to the collective energy. It could be that you’re in the mood for a hug or conversation. Or on the contrary, feeling quite sexual. In our temples there’s space for everything!

If you would like to stay for the temple, please select the inclusive ticket (workshop+temple).

“Play Fighting workshop was everything I had hoped for: well-organised, fun, energetic and intense. It was lovely to witness a variety of play fighting styles from competitive to sensual to almost erotic (had I stayed for the optional Temple, I’m sure eroticism would have been the main energy ingredient).

I was pleased to see how quickly a bunch of standers are able to authentically connect with each other on a wide range of levels within the safety of the play space.

Kudos to the organisers, Roy and Paulina, for their excellent team work and professionalism. I can highly recommend to anyone to attend it.

“It was with great anticipation that I went to the Play fighting workshop and temple. I was not disappointed it provided a space for me to be physical, powerful and playful with others. Wrestling, pushing, grabbing, snarling, rolling around – I loved it. A place to let out my inner animal without inhibition.

I came away more confident and grateful to experience this part of my erotic nature with others. I learned so much about myself thank you.  Dee”
