About the weekend

Over the course of 2 days (Saturday 29- Sunday 30 March), we will journey together into this wonderfully spicy mix of play, connection, experimentation, sensuality and empowerment – learning to see ourselves and each other in new, surprising and inspiring ways. How did this all come about? Skye and Roy met inside the play fighting circle, and their first contact was an intense physical play fight, full of energy, humour and fun. That moment planted a seed, and that seed grew into this weekend – an intimate and exciting mix of Fusion dance, Contact Improvisation and Play Fighting. Skye and Roy bring together their passion, experience and skills to offer a unique, exhilarating combination of embodied consent, movement, dance and martial arts practices.

What can you expect from this weekend?

  • Learn the basics of Fusion dance, Play Fighting and Contact Improvisation
  • Improve your consent and safety awareness in self-movement and contact with others.
  • Be challenged to discover, define and communicate your boundaries.
  • Make authentic connections in a supportive, conscious and sober space.

This is for you, if:

  • You have a good understanding of and/or willingness to learn more about verbal and non-verbal consent practices.
  • You have experience with some dance, movement and/or embodiment practices.
  • You have experience of conscious, sex+ play spaces and feel comfortable in spaces that include intimacy, sensuality and sexuality.
  • You feel comfortable interacting with folks from all genders and backgrounds. While personal choice and consent is paramount to this weekend, you’ll have a much nicer time if you are generally open to dancing, playing, chatting and cuddling with everybody.

Times: Saturday 29 March, 2pm to 9pm & Sunday 30 March, 9am to 5pm

  • Venue address will be emailed to all attendees before the event.
  • Try having any conversations and check-ins you need to have with yourself or your partner(s) prior to attending and try to practice good communication through the event.
  • All body types and abilities are welcome.
  • All genders, sexualities and identities are welcome.
  • We do not tolerate any harassment, prejudices, biases or othering.

Pricing

  • We operate tiered pricing.
  • Early bird rate until 28 February: GBP 79 / 99 / 119 (approximately EUR 95 / 117 / 140)
  • Normal price from 1 March: GBP 109 / 129 / 149 (approximately EUR 130 / 155 / 179)
  • Picking the higher tier helps us offer reduced price ticket to those who need them, thank you in advance.
  • There are a limited number of reduced tickets – please only select if you need it.
  • If you are on low or no income please specify on the application form to request reduced tickets or assistant positions and contact us for details of what is involved before paying.

Your facilitators: 

Roy

Roy is a counsellor, life and relationship coach who draws on his training in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, Radical Honesty, Non-violent Communication and Wheel of Consent training to offer therapy and coaching to individuals, couples and polycules. He can help you with relationship issues, honesty and authenticity in relating, life transformation and major life crises. Roy has been facilitating play fighting workshops and consent workshops since 2022 in London, Manchester, Brighton, Nottingham and Bristol as well as festivals in the UK and Europe. Skye

Skye works with a wide range of different modalities and methods that have one common goal: Making life longer, better and a little kinkier! Skye is a trained psychologist and passionate workshop facilitator on all things weird and wonderful. Playful Submission and Dominance, Conscious Connection, Embodied Consent, Sensual Story Telling, Fusion Dance, Nature Connection, Rites and Rituals are some the tricks Skye likes to pull out of her hat. Skye’s mission is to make play fun, caring, consensual and accessible for everyone.
