I’m a BACP registered Counsellor trained in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy and have been in private practice since 2023, after a long and very varied career in the tourism industry.

You can read my professional code of ethics here and the BACP code here.

A personal relationship and financial crisis in 2010 had forced me to completely re-evaluate my life and my values, start in-depth personal therapy and dig deep inside to find selfawareness and self-love. In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact of these experiences led me to train in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy. Along the way, I was able to address and heal my parental abandonment trauma, learn valuable relationship communication skills, repair the relationship with my child, confront my socialised toxic masculinity and create a wonderfully supportive community around me. All this work has led me to feel the happiest and most fulfilled that I have ever been.

I have done this through a combination of psychotherapy, somatic practices such as breath work, TRE and body movement. Dance and nature are also fundamental aspects of my healing.

Having had 50+ years of lived experience, a great deal of self-experimentation and exploration, a range of different self-development and self-inquiry trainings and over a decade of experience with workshop and group facilitation, I feel that counselling and relationship therapy had become my new calling.

My practice is open to adults over 18, of all orientations, religions, races, sexualities and identities. I have particular lived experience and unique understanding of working with people who identify with the spectra of LGBTQIA+, kink, polyamory, multigamy (NM, ENM, CNM) and neurodiversity. I work integratively and intuitively, combining different modalities that fit my clients as well as working holistically with mind, body and feelings.

What you might want to talk to me about could include:

  • Anxiety and Stress
  • Obsessive thoughts and compulsions
  • Childhood wounding or trauma
  • Relationship challenges (romantic relationships, familial, friendships etc.)

What is Psychosynthesis?

Psychosynthesis is a holistic approach to psychology that views the human being as a dynamic, evolving system composed of multiple aspects, including the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. The concept of Self in Psychosynthesis refers to the unique, individual essence of a person that transcends and integrates all of these aspects.

The Self is seen as the center of a person’s consciousness and the source of their personal identity and purpose. It is not to be confused with the ego, which is the limited and temporary sense of self that is based on social and cultural conditioning, past experiences, and personal fears and desires. The Self, on the other hand, is seen as the unchanging, essential nature of the person that is beyond the ego and its limitations.

In Psychosynthesis, the goal of personal growth and development is to move towards a greater awareness and integration of the Self. This involves a process of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-realization that leads to a more fulfilling, authentic, and meaningful life. Psychosynthesis practitioners work with clients to help them identify and overcome obstacles to Self-realization and to develop the skills and capacities needed to live in alignment with their true nature.
